Synopsis
Olympic Mountain is a sensory film, hovering over the hills, sculpted artificially in 1972 for the Olympics, through the rubble and ashes of Munich bombed during the Second World War, and finally into the earth‘s interior beneath the mountain, where fires still glow silently. Inspired by Walter De Maria‘s unrealised Earthsculpture, the film explores the history of this politically ambiguous place through cinematic means, connecting the space with its past lying under the surface.
