AboutDaniel Asadi Faezi is a filmmaker whose work focuses on non-fiction storytelling.
He studied directing at University of Television and Film Munich and National College of Arts Lahore, Pakistan.
His films have been screened and awarded at numerous filmfestivals.
»Aralkum« (co-directed with Mila Zhluktenko) was awarded the Jury Prize for Best International Shortfilm at 53. Visions du Réel.
The film qualified for the Academy Awards and is playing at filmfestivals around the world right now.
His most recent short waking up in silence (co-directed with Mila Zhluktenko) premiered at 73. Berlinale where it was awarded the Special Jury Prize of the Generation Kplus competition.

Besides directing he produces Documentary/Experimental Cinema
and is an alumni of DAAD, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung and Berlinale Talents 2021.
Currently Daniel Asadi Faezi is based in Munich, developing his debut feature length documentary.
