Daniel Asadi Faezi is a filmmaker and visual artist based in Munich.
He studied directing at University of Television and Film Munich and National College of Arts Lahore, Pakistan.
His films have been screened and awarded at numerous galleries and filmfestivals, including

Berlinale, Locarno, IDFA, Visions du Réel, DOK Leipzig, MoMA, NS Dokumentationszentrum München and ICA London.

He is an alumni of DAAD, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung and Berlinale Talents.
Currently Daniel Asadi Faezi is working on his debut feature length documentary together with Mila Zhluktenko.
The duo co-directed the shortfilms Aralkum (2022), waking up in silence (2023) and in retrospect (2025).
